Bulls Bay, a private enclave along the Atlantic and its tidal salt marshes, reflects owner Joe Rice’s vision and the artistry of the late Mike Strantz. An accomplished artist and architect, Strantz reshaped a flat Lowcountry site by moving two million cubic yards of earth, creating 75-foot elevation changes and sweeping 360-degree views reminiscent of Scotland and Ireland’s great links. With firm, sandy turf and constant ocean winds, Bulls Bay offers a pure links experience free from traffic, real estate, or non-golf amenities—where golf has always been the sole priority.
