Course Details

Nicknamed the “Club of the Presidents,” Washington Golf & Country Club traces its origins to December 1892 and was formally incorporated on January 1, 1894. The club is the ninth oldest in the United States and the ninth to join the USGA, a pedigree reflected in its rich history. The current clubhouse opened in 2006 and has been refreshed through ongoing renovations. In 2020, renowned architect Tom Doak led the first major course overhaul since 1922, extending the tournament layout to more than 6,400 yards and adding The Turn—a modern halfway house that also serves as a learning center and social hub. Notable members have included tennis great Pauline Betz Addie and Olympic gold medalist Tom Dolan.
