Glenwild Golf Club & Spa is nestled in a meadow valley north of Park City, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding Wasatch mountain range. Renowned course designer Tom Fazio was given first priority in utilizing the land for his 18-hole layout, with developers agreeing to plan homesites only after he finalized the course design. Fazio grouped the holes strategically, incorporating a couple of irrigation lakes and connecting them with streams and cascading waterfalls. The outer rough framing the course features native sagebrush, patches of vibrant purple flax, and a mix of transplanted trees, including aspen, chokecherry, maple, willow, spruce, and Austrian pine. The number of trees was carefully balanced to define targets while preserving the expansive panoramic vistas.
