Champions Golf Club was the venue for the 1967 Ryder Cup matches between the United States and Great Britain. Hosting both a Ryder Cup and a U.S. Open within its first ten years is a remarkable achievement, but that’s precisely the legacy of Cypress Creek. The course is designed on an impressive scale for championship play, featuring lengthy holes, expansive rolling greens, and strategically placed water hazards throughout the layout. Eight of the par-four holes exceed 430 yards from tee to green, making it a course that favors players with both power and precision. The par threes are the standout holes on the scorecard, with the most challenging being the 213-yard 4th hole.
