Course Details

Philadelphia Country Club boasts 27 Championship Golf holes, originally situated in Bala Cynwyd, Pennsylvania, before relocating in 1924. The Spring Mill course, designed by William S. Flynn, debuted in 1927 and hosted the 1939 U.S. Open, won by Byron Nelson. Nelson's victory came after a dramatic playoff, overcoming Sam Snead's heartbreaking stumble on the final hole. The club has a rich history of hosting prestigious events, including the 1899 U.S. Women's Championship, the 2003 USGA Women's Amateur, and the 2005 USGA Amateur Championships. In commemoration of its centenary, Tom Fazio crafted the Centennial Nine, inaugurated amidst grand celebrations in 1991.
