Wexford Plantation’s golf course on Hilton Head Island was first designed by Willard Byrd in the mid-1980s, but it lacked distinctiveness until Arnold Palmer led a transformative renovation in 2011. Among the standout features of the updated layout are holes 12 and 13, which showcase classic Road and Redan design elements. However, the 16th hole breaks from tradition—drawing inspiration from the Biarritz template, Palmer reimagined it as a 415-yard par four that incorporates the signature deep swale of a Biarritz green, allowing for dynamic pin placements across its broad surface.
