Brooklawn Country Club began in May 1895 with a modest 9-hole layout crafted by its own members. Today, it stands as one of Connecticut’s premier 18-hole courses. Officially incorporated as the Brooklawn Club Corporation, the club has a rich legacy marked by historic events and legendary figures—most notably Gene Sarazen, who developed his game there. The course, shaped by the renowned architect A.W. Tillinghast, has hosted five U.S. Golf Association championships and remains a standout example of classic golf design.
