Set against the natural beauty of southeastern Connecticut, Stonington Country Club delivers a private golf experience rooted in tradition and community. Officially incorporated on July 13, 1988, the club opened its first nine holes and a partially finished clubhouse in August 1992. By spring of 1994, five holes of the back nine were ready for play. Pennsylvania-based architect Ron Forse later updated and refined the original back nine layout, which had been drafted about seven years earlier by Al Zikorus. The final four holes were completed and opened in October 1997, bringing the 18-hole, par-72 championship course to life.
