For more than 53 years, Mt. Pleasant Animal Shelter has been a pillar of care and compassion for homeless animals. We are driven by a singular purpose: to provide every cat and dog we serve with the chance to find a permanent, loving home. Each animal that comes through our doors receives the highest standard of care, from essential medical services to socialization and enrichment, ensuring they are prepared for a brighter future. Our primary focus is to rescue abandoned and neglected animals within our local community. However, our efforts extend far beyond New Jersey. We actively partner with shelters across the country to save animals at risk of euthanasia due to overcrowding or limited resources. Through these partnerships, we ensure that vulnerable pets are given the opportunity to live and thrive in a safe, nurturing environment.
