Course Details

Mountain Ridge Country Club in West Caldwell, New Jersey, was officially established on April 17, 1912. Donald Ross designed the course with two distinct loops of nine holes, each closing with a long, uphill hole returning to the clubhouse. Though the order of the nines has since been reversed, the original character and flow remain intact. Recognized early on as a challenging test when it opened in 1931, the course has changed little over the decades. Often called one of the New York Metropolitan Area’s “hidden gems,” Mountain Ridge has hosted numerous prestigious events, including four New Jersey PGA Championships, three Metropolitan Opens, and Amateur Championships for both the NJSGA and MGA. It has also been the site of the MGA’s Ike Championship in 2007, the 2020 Met Open, the 2017 New Jersey PGA Championship, the 2012 USGA Senior Amateur Championship, and the 2021 LPGA Cognizant Founder's Cup.
