Course Details

Leewood Golf Club, founded in 1921, started as a simple course set in a scenic landscape. During the 1920s, it earned a reputation for its challenging layout and natural beauty, drawing golfers from across the region. The course was designed by Devereaux Emmet, who also designed notable layouts such as Congressional Country Club in Bethesda, MD, Garden City Country Club, and the original course at Fenway Country Club in Scarsdale, NY, among others. To honor the enduring legacy of Babe Ruth, Leewood Golf Club has dedicated spaces in his name. The former Men's Grille has been transformed into Bambino's Pub, paying homage to the Sultan of Swat's iconic nickname. Additionally, the Babe Ruth Room, an inviting lounge situated within the men's locker room, houses a treasure trove of memorabilia and photographs, some of which were gifted to the membership by the Babe’s granddaughter, Linda Ruth Tosetti.
