Course Details

Old Oaks’ 18-hole course was originally designed by A.W. Tillinghast in 1925 and completed in 1927 by Charles Alison and Harry Colt, who followed Tillinghast’s routing and vision. This rare collaboration between two of golf’s most influential design teams is a key part of what makes the course unique. Over the years, the course has undergone several upgrades, including a 2001 renovation by Ken Dye that added distance and deepened bunkers, a modern irrigation system installed in 2010, and a new maintenance facility built in 2012. In 2016, renowned architect Rees Jones—nicknamed the “Open Doctor”—led a major renovation. He rebuilt every bunker, added multiple tee boxes to improve playability for all golfers, and stretched the course by more than 200 yards. Today, Old Oaks plays over 6,900 yards with a par of 70.
