After architect Lester George finalized his blueprint for No. 66 Kinloch—featuring dual fairways, multiple route options, and a unique triple-fairway ninth—he was eager for another opportunity to push the limits of course design. That chance came in the rolling hills near Roanoke, where he created Ballyhack, an amplified version of Kinloch. With expansive landing zones, interconnected fairways, strategic central bunkers, double greens, and an abundance of shot selections, Ballyhack offers a masterful fusion of demanding play, dramatic landscapes, and unforgiving natural rough. Some might call it the Ballybunion of southern Virginia.
