Course Details
On April 20, 1920, led by Mr. C.L. Cooke, businessmen and South Hills residents gathered at Pittsburgh's Old Chatham Hotel to discuss establishing a Country Club for the area. The golf course layout began in 1919, though it lacked a formal name until the formation of South Hills Country Club in 1920. Opening on May 10, 1920, it initially operated as a 9-hole course until 1923. Transitioning to an 18-hole layout on May 1, 1924, marked a significant expansion in the club's amenities and offerings. The meticulously-groomed, 18-hole golf course features a challenging layout and lightning-quick greens. Come enjoy a round at a historic golf course in the heart of Pittsburgh!
