Course Details

Philadelphia Cricket Club held special significance for Tillinghast, who meticulously designed its course in the 1920s. Over time, neglect took its toll, with greens diminishing, bunkers deteriorating, and trees encroaching, even penetrating the clubhouse. In 2013, Keith Foster undertook restoration efforts, delayed by economic challenges, restoring Tillinghast's vision. Trees were cleared, original features reinstated, including the iconic "Great Hazard" on the seventh hole. In a poignant tribute, Tillinghast's ashes were scattered in the Wissahickon Creek by the 18th green, honoring his enduring connection to the club and its rejuvenated course.
