Course Details

Founded in 1896 as the third golf club established in Illinois, Exmoor Country Club is a distinguished private, full-service facility situated in Highland Park, approximately 28 miles north of Chicago. The Club features a championship golf course masterfully designed by the legendary Donald J. Ross, reflecting the strategic nuance and timeless appeal characteristic of his work. Exmoor has served as the esteemed host venue for notable national competitions, including the U.S. Women’s Amateur in 1933 and the U.S. Senior Women’s Amateur in 1965. Further cementing its place in American golf history, Exmoor was the home club to three U.S. Amateur champions: Chandler Egan (1904, 1905), Chick Evans (1916, 1920), and Davidson Herron (1919).
