The layout was initially crafted by Alex Findlay and later revamped by Donald Ross in 1936. Hyannisport has long been associated with the Kennedy family, including President John F. Kennedy, who was famously captured in photographs playing there during his time in office. Stretching to just under 6,300 yards, the course is relatively short by today’s benchmarks, but the ever-present coastal winds add a layer of challenge. Several holes wind through the marshlands bordering the Nantucket Sound, enhancing both the scenery and the strategic demands of the course.
