Course Details

Founded in 1899 by William R. Farrand and a group of close associates, Detroit Golf Club has remained an exclusive private golf club. Initially a six-hole course, it expanded to nine holes before eventually growing to eighteen. Additionally, two distinct clubhouses were constructed, with the first opening in 1906. Within its first 25 years, the club rapidly evolved into the esteemed establishment it is today. By 1916, both of its Donald Ross-designed courses were completed.

The Detroit Golf Foundation is an organization that started out developing strength and character in children across the metro Detroit area utilizing the game of golf as the building platform. Through learning the game of golf children were able to develop lifelong characteristics to help them manage and grow in life. The Foundation has now began to work to help provide opportunities for children to attend college through their participation within the game of golf.
