Course Details
Richmond Golf Club, a former host of four PGA Tour events, made history as the first course in the U.S. to welcome African American players in professional tournaments. Legends such as Ben Hogan, Byron Nelson, and Sam Snead, who claimed victory at the 1945 Richmond Open, were among those who played here. Originally established in 1924 as Carquinez Golf Club, it later became a key venue for women’s professional golf in the early 1950s. In 1952, Patty Berg secured a win at the second Women's Open held at the club.
