Sewickley Heights Golf Club welcomed golfers when it opened in 1961. Just five years later, in 1966, the club had the privilege of hosting the United States Women’s Amateur, where JoAnne “Big Mama” Gunderson-Carner emerged victorious. In 1998, the club received another distinguished honor by serving as the venue for the Champion’s Pittsburgh Senior Classic.
