Course Details
Adena Golf & Country Club opened in 2015 as the vision of Frank Stronach—the Canadian industrialist, politician, and thoroughbred owner with a major stud farm in nearby Ocala and multiple U.S. racetracks—who reportedly invested over $50 million into the 420-acre residential project. The routing skirts three former limerock quarries and uses bold elevation changes to create a dramatic walk from tee to green. Quirky, memorable touches abound: an ultra-tight, tree-corridored 3rd; a rock wall guarding the left side of the 7th; and a split-level 9th fairway feeding into a two-tiered green. The back nine turns up the challenge with a 747-yard par-5 at the 14th, followed by a nerve-testing downhill par-3 to a peninsula green.
