Course Details

The Fort Lauderdale Country Club's history began in 1924 with a donation of 200 acres for a golf course, officially opening on December 1, 1926. Initially operating from a tent due to an incomplete clubhouse, the course faced challenges in the late 1920s, including financial struggles and management changes. The city took over operations in 1936, leading to improvements and the addition of a second 18-hole layout in 1951. Over the years, the club navigated social changes, including integration in the late 1950s, and underwent significant renovations, establishing itself as a premier golf destination in Broward County.
