Course Details

Designed by noted architect Joseph S. Finger, our demanding par-72 championship layout delivers diverse golfing challenges that reward strategic thinking, precise shotmaking, and a sharp short game. Conceived in 1926 by real estate developer Earl Gammage Sr., Golfcrest Country Club was built on 117 acres in southeast Houston between today’s Holmes Road and Telephone Road; construction began that year and finished in 1927. From its opening the course drew a devoted membership, quickly earning a reputation as one of the city’s premier golf destinations and a hub for community life.
