Course Details

Winding through dense Lowcountry forest and expansive wetlands with sweeping views of Port Royal Sound and the Atlantic, the Pete Dye Course at Colleton River is a striking links-style layout that contrasts sharply with the adjacent Nicklaus Course; its small, undulating greens are guarded by classic pot bunkers, creating a unique challenge in the Southeast that has hosted events such as the South Carolina Amateur, US Amateur and US Open qualifiers, and the 2015 US Junior Amateur. Equal parts scenic and demanding, the Dye Course famously served as the filming location for key scenes in Robert Redford’s The Legend of Bagger Vance, and a restoration completed in summer 2016 has only amplified its stature.
