Course Details

Although Connecticut isn’t widely regarded as mountainous, Bull’s Bridge Golf Club—just a few miles from the Appalachian Trail—gives a clear preview of the rugged terrain golfers will encounter; Tom Fazio’s rare New England design elegantly merges his signature bold shaping with the region’s “old world” feel, using stone walls and letting the surrounding mountains provide much of the drama while he reserves sculpted features for select moments. A couple of holes demand extra adventure—most notably the par-3s at Nos. 12 and 16, which require long carries and steep drops to reach their greens—but overall the course measures just under 7,000 yards, a bit shorter than many Fazio layouts and a subtle reminder that precision off the tee often matters more than brute distance.
