Course Details
Cherry Hills Country Club, located in Cherry Hills Village, Colorado, was founded in 1922 and designed by William Flynn. The course has hosted numerous prestigious events, including the U.S. Open, the PGA Championship, and the 2005 U.S. Senior Open. Notable features include the nation's first par-5 island green and back-to-back par 5s to close the course—though the 18th is played as a par 4 in championships. When Arnold Palmer and Ed Seay remodeled the course in 1976, they lengthened the first hole to prevent any player from replicating Palmer’s famous feat of driving the green. A restoration by Tom Doak and Eric Iverson of Renaissance Golf has prepared Cherry Hills for the next phase of its storied tournament history, beginning with the 2023 U.S. Amateur.
