Course Details
Despite battling cancer, Mike Strantz transformed the Shore Course into a scenic marvel rivaling Cypress Point. He reversed holes, framing most with a Pacific Ocean backdrop, and integrated native grasses for a coastal feel. Sadly, it was his final masterpiece, completed six months before his passing. Former PGA Tour player Forrest Fezler, Strantz's associate, preserved his vision until his own death in 2018. Meanwhile, the Dunes Course, overshadowed by its sibling, underwent beautiful transformations. Originally routed by Seth Raynor, later altered by Rees Jones, and finally revamped by Tom Fazio, it now boasts a MacKenzie-inspired design by Tim Jackson and David Kahn, living up to its name with sandscapes and zigzagging fairways.
