Course Details

Established in 1951, Lakeside Country Club debuted an 18-hole course designed by Ralph Plummer, which became fully operational within its 209-acre property by the end of 1952. In 1990, Ron Prichard extended the course, bringing its length to 7,254 yards from the championship tees. Notable holes include the challenging 426-yard 5th and the 585-yard 13th, considered the toughest on the scorecard. Both the front and back nines loop back to the clubhouse, with the greens for the 9th and 18th holes situated on a peninsula near the clubhouse. These finishing holes demand an approach shot over water, offering no safe alternatives—it's a risk-it-all ending to both nines. The course features several classic "template" holes inspired by designs popularized by Seth Raynor and C.B. Macdonald over a century ago. Highlights include a Double Plateau green on the 1st hole, a Punchbowl green at the 2nd, a Redan par-3 at the 11th, a Road Hole green at the 12th, and a Short par-3 at the 16th. Among these, the par-3 Biarritz at the 8th stands out as a masterpiece, perfectly integrating the property’s finest natural landform.
