Course Details

Bayonne Golf Club is a remarkable destination built atop a former sanitary landfill, now transformed with 7 million cubic yards of fill material—much of it dredged from the harbor for supertankers. The visionary developer and designer Eric Bergstol sculpted this land into towering artificial sand dunes, creating a stunning backdrop. The course pays homage to traditional Irish links, devoid of trees, cart paths, or flat lies, as its fairways wind through narrow valleys bordered by steep, fescue-covered slopes. Deep, intimidating bunkers challenge even the most seasoned players, while several greens offer breathtaking views above the harbor. Each putting surface presents a unique puzzle, with unpredictable undulations and contours that promise surprises and excitement for golfers.
