Course Details

The Kahkwa Club stands as northwestern Pennsylvania’s flagship golf country club, built on a classic Donald Ross design that’s inviting off the tee yet relentlessly demanding when you miss your spots. Over the years, its championship pedigree has been proven by the many national and regional tournaments it has welcomed. Ross—best known for Pinehurst—was brought in to craft Kahkwa’s original links, and in the early Scottish spirit the holes carried nicknames alongside their numbers: No. 12 was “Long Tom,” No. 13 “School House,” and No. 3 the familiar “Pond.” As the club grew, additional land was acquired east of the entry road to expand the layout, and Ross returned to design the new nine—today’s front side—while the original nine lives on as the back nine of the present course.
