Course Details

Tucked into the northern reaches of metro Atlanta, Capital City Club’s Crabapple course opened in 2002 on a broad, uninterrupted piece of land where the only building in sight is the clubhouse. A wetlands corridor weaves through the middle of the property, but the generous canvas around it allowed Tom Fazio and his team to craft a routing that feels unlike almost anything else in the area, shifting naturally between pine and hardwood corridors and more open, field-lined holes—especially around eight through ten and the closing stretch from 15 to 18. Golfers encounter split-level fairways, a tempting downhill short par 4, and a set of par 3s that demand everything from a wedge to a long iron. The round finishes with a thrilling three-hole stretch capped by a go-for-it par 5 and two demanding par 4s, and there’s already talk that Fazio will soon return to reimagine the course once more, potentially adding modern sub-surface air systems beneath the turf.
