Course Details
Opened in 1927, Franklin Hills Country Club remains an exclusive private club known for its well-preserved Donald Ross design. The greens, featuring significant slope and undulation, are among Ross’s finest and have remained largely untouched over the decades. The par threes stand out for their variety in length, green settings, and shot demands. One of the most memorable holes is the 301-yard 13th, known as the "Volcano." Despite requiring only a short iron or wedge, this 3,000-square-foot green sits 30 feet above the fairway, making the final 75 yards one of the most intimidating shots in Detroit.
