Course Details

Until 1925 Huntsville’s only golf option was a nine-hole, sand‑green “cow pasture” course run by the Dallas Manufacturing Company at the northeast corner of Oakwood Avenue and Andrew Jackson Way called The Country Club; early that year fifteen local men organized to form a new country club, hired a professional promoter after learning two earlier efforts had failed, and secured the Milton Moss property for the site that became Huntsville Country Club, which today features mature, traditional Bermuda fairways and Jones Dwarf Bermuda greens, plays 6,602 yards from the Championship tees with a 72.3/129 rating and slope, and offers extensive practice facilities—driving range, putting and chipping greens—and a short‑game area and renovated driving range completed in 2020.
