This championship-caliber course has long drawn elite competition and celebrated players thanks to its demanding layout. Over the years, it has served as the venue for high-profile events such as the Trans-Mississippi Four-Ball Championship, USGA Amateur Qualifiers, SCGA Championships, NCAA Regionals, and a variety of top-tier collegiate tournaments. The original design was shaped with input from PGA Tour professional Tommy Jacobs—once the youngest player ever invited to The Masters—who partnered with the course architect to craft a layout that would rigorously test every facet of a golfer’s game. Years later, Tom Lehman, the only player to earn Player of the Year honors across all three PGA Tours, played a central role in the course’s redesign. Both Jacobs and Lehman remain closely connected to the club, which also counts champions like Phil Mickelson, Annika Sorenstam, John Schroeder, Xander Schauffele, and Liselotte Neumann among its distinguished membership.
