Immaculately maintained and among Long Island’s sternest tests, it threads through narrow, tree-lined corridors with abrupt doglegs that demand placement over power. The land rolls and cants in steady, nuanced ways—never jarring, always influential—pushing tee shots and approaches toward trouble if you lose your line. The real examination arrives on the greens: broad, boldly contoured, and lightning fast. Only well-spun, precisely flighted approaches will hold; anything less is quickly ushered away, leaving delicate recoveries and nervy putts.
