Course Details

Old Warson was a regular on America's 100 Greatest Courses from the late '60s through the '90s, and for good reason. Designed by Robert Trent Jones in 1954, it was one of the standout modern tracks to pop up after World War II—wide fairways rolling through open countryside, leading up to elevated greens guarded by those classic, freeform Jones bunkers. Over time, as the suburbs crept in and the course aged, it’s taken on more of a tight, tree-lined parkland vibe. The fairways have narrowed, and the greens—once full of bold contours—have mellowed out a bit to match today’s faster speeds. But the routing is still rock solid: the front nine rides along a ridge on the east side, while the back loops around a scenic chain of lakes.
