Course Details

Opened in 1958 as Williamsburg Country Club, Williamsburg Golf Club sits on ground rich with history—near the Civil War site of Fort Magruder. William F. Gordon routed the course across the property’s most rolling, fertile acres, shaping a championship layout whose first nine holes debuted in October 1959, followed by the clubhouse in February 1960 and the second nine in 1961 after additional member funding. Over the years, the course has welcomed notable competitions, including a qualifier for the 2004 U.S. Women’s Open and several premier Four-Ball events in Virginia.
