Course Details
After completing The Tribute in 2000, Tripp Davis—teaming with PGA Tour winner Justin Leonard—returned to craft Old American as a distinct neighbor rooted in early-American, Golden Age ideals. Wind, weather, and sand defend par; bunkers appear naturally formed; native grasses frame firm corridors; and the back nine runs along Lake Lewisville, where crosswinds test every shot. Opened in 2010, the course has hosted a U.S. Open qualifier and regularly earns accolades from national publications and the Dallas Morning News. From 2018 to 2023, it staged The Ascendant LPGA benefiting Volunteers of America, earning strong reviews from players, organizers, and fans.
