Course Details

Opened in 2021, American Dunes represents a complete transformation of an existing golf course. Jack Nicklaus reimagined the former wooded layout by removing many trees, revealing expansive views of undulating sandscapes that define the course's character. This redesign introduces dramatic topographical changes, replacing a series of narrow, uniform holes with circular greens and challenging tee shots that navigate through sandy barrens and uniquely shaped putting surfaces. The course, created by Lt. Col. Dan Rooney and owned by his family, also serves a noble purpose: a significant portion of its proceeds supports Folds of Honor, a foundation dedicated to aiding injured veterans, their families, and providing scholarships for the children of service members who have been wounded or killed.
